Browse, Borrow & Go at your Library

As a result of the increasing rates of transmission of COVID-19 in our region and following the guidance of the Government of Ontario and Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit, the Innisfil ideaLAB & Library is introducing additional safety precautions to ensure the safety of customers and staff. Beginning Tuesday, December 21, 2021, the Cookstown, Lakeshore and Stroud branches will be open, with capacity limits, for browsing, hold pick-ups, express computer access and use of printers during regular library hours. We ask our customers to limit their visits to 30 minutes or less to ensure everyone has the opportunity to safely use library services. Masks or approved face coverings are required and we ask that customers maintain two meters physical distance from staff and others.

In-person, indoor programming will be postponed until the new year when guidance from public health officials indicate that it is safe to gather in person again. Despite this, residents and customers can still make use of a full range of Library Services, virtually, including digital library cards, access to eBooks, and databases as well as an abundance of virtual story times and programming for all age levels.

“The safety of our community and our staff continues to be our top priority as we navigate this next phase of the COVID-19 pandemic,” said ideaLAB & Library CEO, Erin Scuccimarri. “We know how many residents rely on their library to stay connected, informed and engaged and we will continue to deliver the high quality services and information that you need, in the safest way possible.”

The Library is continuing the popular curbside pickup service for materials of all kinds. Discover more than books and movies in our Library of Things including robots, toys, board games and more. We continue to encourage you to explore all of our online resources by visiting
