Need some more research materials? Wish you had more novels for quiet reading? Looking for some picture books to support an inquiry unit? Tell us the grade level and topics and our staff will curate a selection of books for your class to use.

Memberships:

No Library card? No problem! Sign up for a membership today to gain access to the Library’s digital collections. Anyone who lives or works in Innisfil is eligible for membership. Note: if you have an active Library membership, you do not need a digital one. Not sure if your card is still active? No problem. Email info@innisfilidealab.ca and staff can renew your membership for you.

hackLAB:

E-Resourcs Hacklab at home

From inspiring video tutorials to helpful tip sheets, there are many ways to spark creativity and explore the tools and technology of the hackLAB. 

Inspiration and Imagination:

Find over 100 boredom busting, entertaining and engaging ideas. These short videos provide a demonstration of an accessible activity, many of which have clear curriculum links! 

Outreach:

The Library offers a variety of in-person visit options for classes that focus on hackLAB, STEAM, or storytime visits! For inquiries about connecting your class to the Library, please email outreach@innsifilidealab.ca.  

Research and Databases:

The Library subscribes to numerous research tools you won’t find using Google. Access platforms like Brainfuse, Science Reference Centre, NoveList K-8, and more. 

Teens:

Short Story Contest:

Set your imagination free with the Short Story Contest! Students in grades 3-12 are invited to participate in this annual event, where they could win up to $500!

Welcome To Kindergarten:

To help families prepare for the transition to Kindergarten, the Library prepares a package of printable games and activities for children, released every May. If your school is hosting an event and you’d like the Library to participate, please contact Laura at ljeffery@innisfilidealab.ca.
