Join the Innisfil ideaLAB & Library in celebrating National Indigenous History Month and Pride Season through learning, storytelling, creativity, and connection.
Join us for a meaningful evening of reflection and remembrance as we take part in building The Canadian Library Project, a national memorial honouring Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit people (MMIWG2S). Participants are invited to wrap books in Indigenous-inspired fabrics, add the name of an MMIWG2S individual, and learn about the story behind each name.
The Canadian Library Project is a grassroots art installation aiming to wrap 8,000 books across Canada, with each book serving as a powerful tribute to lives lost and a call for continued awareness and action. You can find out more about the project here.
