Writer’s Fair 2026 – Innisfil ideaLab & Library

Apply to take part in our Writer’s Fair 2026!

The Innisfil ideaLAB & Library is hosting a Writer’s Fair on Saturday, October 24, from 10-2pm at the Lakeshore Branch at 967 Innisfil Beach Road.

We are providing free space to editors, publishing presses, and local authors to share information, resources or hold a book signing and promote their writing. Authors of all ages are welcome to participate.

Please note that:

The Writer’s Fair will highlight up to 15 vendors. A table and chair will be provided by the library. Accepted participants are responsible for transporting and setting up their own materials during the designated setup time.

To qualify as a “local author” for this event at the Innisfil ideaLAB & Library, an author must be a current resident of Simcoe County.

Works created primarily using generative AI tools, including AI-generated text or unattributed AI-generated artwork, are not eligible for participation.

Both traditionally published and self-published authors are welcome to apply. Authors must have at least one completed, printed and bound work available for display or sale.

How long does it take to hear back?

You will be notified about the status of your application via email with 5 business days of the application closing on September 12, 2026.

What happens if my application is approved?

Once you are selected to participate in a Writer’s Fair, our staff will contact you with all the information you need to attend and to get the most out of the experience.

You will have the opportunity to sell your published works during the Writer’s Fair. Authors are responsible for handling their own sales, pricing, and applicable taxes.

The Library will promote your participation in the Writer’s Fair on our website prior to the event. Social media promotion will depend on our scheduling. You must be prepared to provide the library with any social media handles, website, or promotional photos for our use.

Please Note: We are aiming to find a balance to provide the ILL Writer’s Fair with a varied group of authors that represent the diversity of our community. Due to limited space, submission does not guarantee participation. Applications will be reviewed with consideration for genre, audience, and diversity of representation.
