David A. Robertson

Virtual: Thursday, May 12, 6:00-7:00pm

David A. Robertson, is a member of Norway House Cree Nation and the author of numerous books for young readers including When We Were Alone, which won the 2017 Governor General’s Literary Award. He also wrote The Barren Grounds and The Great Bear the first two books in the Narnia-inspired middle-grade The Misewa Saga series.

Farah Heron

Virtual: Thursday, May 19, 6:30-7:30pm

Farah Heron is a critically acclaimed writer of romances and romantic comedies for adults and teenagers! Her books have been praised in the Globe and Mail, Oprah Magazine, Entertainment Weekly, and have been listed as best books of the year by USA Today, NPR, CBC books, and more.

Join us for an author Q&A as Farah discusses Accidentally Engaged, a delightful romantic comedy featuring a Muslim woman who fakes an engagement to the boy next door in the hopes of winning a couples cooking contest!

Victoria Butler

Virtual: Tuesday, June 14, 6:30-7:30pm

Victoria Butler is a writer from Barrie, ON and is Barrie’s Poet Laureate from 2018 until 2022. Victoria is the first woman to carry the title. She is the co-founder and editor-in-chief of “The Northern Appeal,” a biannual, not-for-profit, literary journal that publishes work by creatives in Simcoe County and Muskoka. Join us as Victoria talks about her first book, Little Miracles, which was published with Black Moss Press in September 2021.
