Let’s Pretend This Never Happened is a riotously funny and irreverent memoir about one woman’s experience with mental health and the stigma surrounding her personal journey.

Author Jenny Lawson recounts her life story starting with her childhood and going through the years to her adulthood. She takes no prisoners and unashamedly shares every detail of her upbringing, which is in equal turns horrifying and hilarious.

She boldly shares her difficulties with depression and mental health as well as her struggles with womanhood, having a family, and just about every other personal detail under the sun. I laughed at just about every sentence in this book, and could not put it down for the life of me. My family started questioning my sanity with how often I would laugh. And loudly at that! If you enjoy your humour a little on the TMI side with a dash of impertinence, you’ll probably have a fun time with this read. Also, there’s taxidermy. Let the good times (and the bad times) roll with Let’s Pretend This Never Happened!
