8th Annual Innisfil MakerFest Live and In Person

INNISFIL, ON (September 20, 2022) Discover the creative people, projects and spaces that make our community extraordinary with a celebration of the ‘Maker Spirit’! The Innisfil ideaLAB & Library will be hosting our eighth annual MakerFest on Saturday September 24th, 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the Lakeshore Branch (967 Innisfil Beach Rd.) Free to attend, MakerFest is a community show-and-tell event to highlight local talent and create community connections.

This year’s festival will showcase:

Children’s Book Illustrator, Sarah Johnston – Sarah is excited to share her love of drawing in her self-published Children’s book called Kate and the Dragon, copies will be available for purchase.

Cosplay Costuming – A member of 501st Legion, best known for their Star Wars characters, will have costumes on display built from a variety of different materials.

Edible
Ink Printer – Join Savory Treats and Sweets as they print full colour images directly onto the surface of some of their yummy cookies. Cookies available for purchase.

Live Music
– Musical Performance by Patty McLaughlin.

Family Activities and Workshops
Something for the whole family, come make a keychain in our HackLAB, try your hand at coding, greenscreen photos and so much more.
