This summer, Innisfil ideaLAB & Library is bringing its services directly into neighbourhoods, parks, and community spaces with the official launch of ideaLAB on the Go, a new mobile outreach vehicle designed to make library services more accessible than ever.
With its vibrant, eye-catching design, ideaLAB on the Go is equipped with resources to meet the community where they are. Take part in an outdoor storytime or watch a special demonstration highlighting some of the Library’s most innovative offerings. Check out the collection from the Library of Things, assistive devices, and interactive tech like Ozobots, engaging robots that make hands-on learning about coding fun for all ages. Community members are invited to stop by and explore everything the Library has to offer, wherever they are.
“ideaLAB on the Go allows us to meet residents right in their own neighbourhoods,” says Erin Scuccimarri, CEO of Innisfil ideaLAB & Library. “Whether you’re visiting the beach, attending a local event, or enjoying a day at the park, you’ll be able to sign up for a library card, borrow materials, explore technology, and learn more about the many ways the Library can support you and your family.”
Programs and services offered by ideaLAB on the Go will be tailored to each location, a “meet you where you are” space where everyone can explore, learn, and discover something new. Library staff will be on hand to answer questions, share information, and help you sign up for your very own library card on the spot, connecting people with essential services and resources.
