On Sunday February 8, 2026, the Stroud Branch of the Innisfil ideaLAB & Library experienced flooding due to a frozen pipe that burst in the Curling Club portion of the Stroud-Innisfil Community Centre. As a result, the Stroud Branch of the Library will be closed for at least one week to assess damage and remediation options. The closure will be effective February 9, 2026, with a planned re-opening for Wednesday, February 18, 2026.As more information on repair timelines becomes available, the Library will continue to update the community via their website and social media channels.
All programs scheduled at the Stroud Branch during the closure have been temporarily cancelled or relocated to another branch. Affected customers for registered programs will be contacted directly. Customers are encouraged to visit the Lakeshore (967 Innisfil Beach Road) and Cookstown (20 Church Street) Branches or access online resources at www.innisfilidealab.ca.
