Author Talk with Peter MacLeod
Democracy isn’t broken, it’s stuck. People aren’t disengaged; they’re frustrated by a system that hasn’t evolved, leading to a growing sense of political futility. In Democracy’s Second Act, Peter MacLeod and Richard Johnson argue that while voting rights and representative government brought major progress, these achievements mark the beginning of democracy’s promise, not its fulfillment. Join us for a hopeful discussion on what comes next for democracy. Peter MacLeod is the founder and principal of MASS LBP and one of Canada’s leading experts in public engagement and deliberative democracy. Register today to save your seat.
Lakeshore Branch: Thursday, April 23, 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
