From hands-on creativity and local makers to live music and inspiring conversations with authors, the Innisfil ideaLAB & Library is bringing the community together this fall with a lineup of events designed to spark curiosity, creativity, and connection.
12th annual MakerFEST
This free community show-and-tell event celebrates local talent and invites visitors to discover hands-on making, and connect with local makers, artists, creators, and organizations.
Highlights include interactive activities in the HackLAB, a special Bubble Show, balloon twisting, virtual reality experiences, a hands-on art project with the MacLaren Art Centre, Ozobots robotic coding, local vendors, and more. Visitors can also stop by for free popcorn, spin the wheel for a prize, and explore the many demonstrations and activities happening throughout the day. Library After Dark featuring Tia Brazda
The Library will transform after hours for Library After Dark, an intimate evening featuring live music from Tia Brazda, known for her vintage-inspired sound and captivating performances.
Doors open at 6:00 p.m., with the concert beginning at 7:00 p.m. at the Lakeshore Branch. Tickets are $25.00 for this event and can be purchased here.

Author Talk with Harrison Browne & Rachel Browne
Literature takes centre stage on Thursday, October 1, at 6:30 p.m. when the Library welcomes Harrison Browne (athlete, activist, and actor in Heated Rivalry) and journalist Rachel Browne, co-authors of Let Us Play: Winning the Battle for Gender Diverse Athletes, for a candid and thought-provoking conversation moderated by Will Nash. This special event invites audiences into an honest dialogue about progress, challenges, and the power of visibility in sport and storytelling.
