Volunteer Application

If you’re interested in volunteering with the Library, you need to completed our updated Community Service Application Form. Once you have completed the form, you can view and sign up for volunteer opportunities though our website. New volunteer opportunities will be added as they come up, so check back regularly!

Teen Book and Movie Reviews

Readers rejoice and cinephiles celebrate! You can earn community service hours by completing book and movie reviews! Reviews must be between 150 and 400 words and for titles available in the Library’s catalogue. You’ll earn 1 hour of community service per 100 pages read OR 1 hour of community service per movie. After staff approval, accepted reviews will be available on the Library’s catalogue. Find out more and submit your reviews here.

Bilingual Storytime

Do you speak another language and love reading to children? We are looking for talented, responsible secondary school students to enhance our Drop-in Storytime experience! Volunteers will collaborate with Library staff to prepare special, bilingual storytime at one of our Saturday morning Drop-in Storytimes! These storytimes will feature reading, talking, or singing in whatever language you can share. Complete the Community Service Application and email Alex at aloewen@innisfilidealab.ca to indicate your interest in this program.
