Neda Mazhab Jafari

About the Artist

Neda Mazhab Jafari is an Iranian – Canadian artist living in Barrie. She holds a PhD in Research of Art from the University of Art of Tehran and was a faculty member at art Universities in Iran Prior to immigrate to Canada and now an instructor at MacLaren Art Center. She is a multi-talented artist. Sculptor, painter, photographer, and musician.
Neda’s artwork has been exhibited widely in Iran. After her study in Graphic design production in Canada, she focused more on digital design to create artworks inspired by her Iranian ancient culture. She won 4th place at the Come Together Week celebration of cultural diversity hosted annually by Georgian College’s International Education and Development department.
Neda was commissioned by the city of Barrie to create public art for the Brightening Barriers project 2022. Neda participated at “Our Own Backyard” exhibition at the MacLaren Art Centre with a sculptural piece titled Mother Nature. She won the Artist Newcomer Recognition Award for her artistic works in Simcoe county.
