Cheryl Daniells

About the Artist

Cheryl Daniells started formal art training at University of Waterloo. Her studio courses focused on drawing, painting, and sculpture. After graduating, she went on to study Architecture and Construction Engineering at Conestoga College and progressed to a design career in the construction industry. Cheryl now has re-focused her career on visual arts. Cheryl has continued to develop her skills, attending courses at Toronto School of Art, and various workshops throughout Ontario. Cheryl currently resides in Barrie, Ontario where she actively volunteers and participates at the Barrie Art Club. She has had a solo show in Barrie, and her work has also been exhibited in Toronto, Brampton, and North Bay. She consistently is engaged in the arts community via contests and exhibition submissions, and is involved in public art opportunities including a current mural project with the city of Barrie.
Cheryl is assistant curator at the Barrie Art Club and also volunteers weekly as reception. In the past, she has volunteered at the Simcoe County Museum, at Kempenfest in Barrie, and at the Canadian Clay and Glass Gallery in Waterloo.
