This book is beautifully written, I enjoyed the poetic descriptions as much as the story. The story is that of a blind girl during WWII, trapped in her small village when her only guide to the world, her father, doesn’t come home.
Natalie’s Review: Buying less and avoiding cheap throw-away goods has always been a priority for me but in an environment filled with a constant barrage of advertising it’s hard to keep on track. In this climate of excess, a well thought out guide to better buying is such a welcome addition to my bookshelf. Mindfulness can be such a challenge in today’s busy world it’s important to remind ourselves to stop and think before adding to the clutter, both physical and mental, that fills our daily lives.
