Innisfil ideaLAB & Library’s 6th MakerFest 2020:
How-To in 10 Virtual Edition!
Discover the creative people, projects and spaces that make our community extraordinary with a celebration of “Maker Spirit”!
The Innisfil ideaLAB & Library will be holding our 6th annual MakerFest 2020. This year is a little different, we are going virtual.
Free for all, something for all ages.
Be apart of this memorable day, Saturday August 22nd, 10am-1pm.
What is MakerFest?
MakerFest is a community show-and-tell event to highlight local talent and provide community connections. We bring together educators, entrepreneurs, artists and engineers as they unveil their latest creations, provide interactive activities, and help our viewers learn a new skill in under 10 minutes. How-To in 10 is intended to make learning new and interesting skills fun, easy, free, and convenient! This event hopes to inspire the next generations of creative makers by providing them with a wide array of possible avenues to explore and discover a new skill, interest or activity.
How will we do this virtually?
We will use the Zoom platform and provide you with a link and timeslot.
This is an opportunity to show off your virtual offerings through a short 15 minute designated time period. 10 minutes for skill sharing and the remaining 5 minutes for Q&A or promo. An emphasis will be placed on the demonstration of the making process and interaction with the public. A great new twist on learning with you and the Library!
Don’t want to go live, we will happily accept your pre-recorded video and add it to our day!
