Library Board

Innisfil ideaLAB & Library Board

Libraries are powerful places that can transform communities by connecting people with one another and the broader community through technology, information, and art. Innisfil ideaLAB & Library is a dynamic, innovative, community hub providing opportunities for learning, discovery, gathering, and fun for all. Our vision to revolutionize Library service, transform our community, and shape our future can only be achieved through collaborative decision making and meaningful engagement with residents – it is all about the community.

The Board, CEO and Staff continually assess the changing needs of residents to identify, predict and meet the information requirements of Innisfil residents by seeking public input, conducting market research and monitoring satisfaction with services.  In an effort to reduce service barriers and respond to community needs, the Library Board has employed innovative processes, computerized tools for the management and delivery of services, and continually seeks new partnerships.

Innisfil Public Library Board meetings may be facilitated online.

Members of the public are welcome to virtually attend the meeting, but must register in advance (link to be provided). This step is to provide security for the meeting. The information collected will not be retained and will only be used in case of meeting disruption.

Board Legacy Document

The Legacy Document is a communiqué to the future leadership of the Library. It provides an opportunity for the outgoing Board to review its work over the past term, reflect on triumphs and strengths, and ponder fortunate opportunities and lost chances. Probing deeper, the Board can contemplate how to overcome limitations and increase success in the future.
